My name is Ventnor, and I am the owner of Barking Mad, Bury and Bolton. I’m based in Ramsbottom with my wife, two beautiful children, three dogs and two cats. Having grown up with spaniels, I understand the joy that animals bring to our lives. We are proud owners of Billie (4), Blue (1) and newest member of the family, Gabriel (4 weeks at time of writing). Billie, our 4-year-old show cocker was born with cataracts, and registered blind. However, she’s the happiest little thing and her sight doesn’t hinder her unquenchable thirst for life (or mischief). Blue is a typical springer spaniel; full of energy, bags of personality and loves being made a fuss of. Then there’s Gabriel, our baby sprocker and most recent addition to the fold. He’s still finding his way, but it’s safe to say that he’s already made himself at home alongside the rest of the pack. My two cats have grown up with the dogs, so they tend to just observe the beautiful chaos, until evening when they come for cuddles.

My Background

I’ve been in a management-based role for the last 12 years and owned my own business for 6 of those. Whilst I’ve had some fantastic times, and learnt a great deal, it’s the right moment to move onto pastures new. A passion for animal welfare, and a genuine desire impact their lines positively led me to Barking Mad. I’m delighted to commence my new journey with this brilliant company, ensuring your dog receives the care, respect and attention they deserve whilst on their holidays with one of our amazing boarders.
