I live in Herne Bay, Kent with my husband Kevin our two sons Adam and Luke, and our adorable rescue Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog, Lucy. We cover the east of Kent from Faversham to Broadstairs, Canterbury and the villages down to Dover.
I was first introduced to Barking Mad dog home boarding in Canterbury when I replied to an advert to become a host. Unfortunately, I discovered Barking Mad did not operate in this area. So after a lot of research about the business my husband and I went to meet Lee Dancy who started the business in 2000. We came away being very impressed with the whole concept of knowing that dogs could be cared for in a home environment rather than going into kennels.
I was a civil Engineer and taught English as a foreign language to children in Cairo. As my children got older I started looking for a career opportunity. I felt that Barking Mad could provide the challenge I was looking for and the flexibility of still being a mum.
Barking Mad offers complete piece of mind for the owners while their four legged friends are enjoying their holiday too.
Since I started the business in this area it has grown so that I now have two people helping me.
