Dog home boarding, dog sitting and ‘doggy days out’ in Derby and the surrounding areas, because dogs deserve a holiday too!
01332 922323 brian.kearton@Barkingmad.uk.comHi, I’m Brian and I am your local Barking Mad representative for Derby and the surrounding areas.
I have always been an animal lover, and following academia and working as a research chemist for the last 27 years, I have finally found the chance to work with dogs through Barking Mad Derby. I live in Breaston with my partner and a lively young Sprocker Spaniel called Bella. In my spare time I am a keen walker and nature enthusiast, and a regular parkrun participant at my local events which I run with Bella, of course! She is used to her home comforts and doesn’t always cope well with new people or dogs, so is not well suited to traditional boarding methods.
Our Dog boarding services in Derby were created with your dog’s care first. We initially get them used to their new surroundings as a home away from home. Depending on your individual dog, sometimes kennels can be stressful and disrupting for them, but as dog lovers ourselves, you can be sure we pamper your dog as a trusted pet sitter, able to maintain their usual routine and diet. We also offer “in home” pet sitting in Derby if your dog is particularly nervous about being away from its environment, or you need someone to watch your home while taking care of your pets at the same time.
Does your dog often want to go for that extra walk? Sometimes their regular local walk is just not enough to satisfy the needs of some dogs. Or maybe you have an occasional work or family commitment making it difficult to get back to your dog during the day. The launch of our brand new service ‘Doggy Days Out’ could provide the answer to both yours and your dogs’ needs.
We take your dog, possibly with a small number of other like minded furry friends, and most likely my own sprocker spaniel Bella (!), and drive up to local beauty spots in the Peak District or other suitably smell rich areas for a full day of walking and mental enrichment.
You can look forward to a contented (and sleepy!) dog when we return, and see what fun they have had with photos uploaded to the Barking Mad Derby Facebook page afterwards.
Walk difficulty and length will be determined based on the ability of your dog, and times can be flexible to suit you regarding collection and return.
Please get in touch if this sounds like something that would interest you, and your dog!
