The journey to becoming a franchisee is a simple, yet in depth, one. It follows a three step process.
Once you’ve made your initial inquiry we’ll work with you to look at the territory you would like to work in and have an initial conversation. In that conversation you can tell us a little bit about yourself, and we will tell you more about what it means to become a member of the Barking Mad community. Should you have any follow up questions, we are always available and happy to answer any queries you may have.
Step two is to invite you to come to the Barking Mad HQ to meet the team here. During your visit we’ll introduce you to everyone in the support team and what they do. This visit will also incorporate a confidential meeting between you and Lee. In this meeting Lee will explain what it means from a practical perspective to be a Barking Mad business owner. She will help you go through your business plan, and look at specific details such as what the overhead cost would be running your dog boarding business. We maintain a ‘cash flow positive’ business model and Lee will take you through what that means.
If we decide, together, that Barking Mad is right for you then we will invite you to become a member of the Barking Mad family. We’ll invite you to an initial training session at our South Lakes office to help develop your business knowledge of the pet boarding industry.
We want being a member of Barking Mad to be a wholly positive experience for all of our franchisees as they become business owners. With this in mind, we give you all the tools you need to hit the ground running. We’ll arrange for advertising in your target area for the first eight weeks, as well as send out press releases to all local media contacts.
